    We understand the important role financial aid plays in your decision to continue your education.  Attend this session and learn about the options available to you.

  2. Transferring to Lewis to Complete Your Undergraduate Degree
    In this session we will answer your most important questions: How do I apply to Lewis and what are the admission criteria?  How does Lewis determine what credits to accept from my transcripts? Once I have been admitted, what are my next steps? At Lewis, we make the transfer process fast and easy for you.

  3. How to Be Successful in the Clinical Mental Health Field
    Being successful in the mental health field often depends on how flexible one is willing to be. Join this session to learn what some of our most successful students have done to enjoy a lucrative career, including being continuously active in their professional associations, being open to working with many different clinical populations, holding multiple professional roles (counselor, teacher, supervisor, etc.) and more. Attend this session to learn more about the Clinical Mental Health Counseling (M.A.) program at Lewis.

  4. Graduate Opportunities in Computing
    Computer Science is one of the most influential fields today. Its applications and discoveries impact every aspect of modern life.  It is a rich broad field that offers several sub-disciplines including data science, cyber security, software engineering, and intelligent systems. Lewis University offers outstanding graduate education opportunities in all these areas and this talk will familiarize you with them so you can choose the one that is best for you. We offer options for career changers and for those without a background in Computer Science. 

  5. Assessing Your Own Leadership
    This session will provide an opportunity for self-assessment and discovery of your own leadership skills and characteristics. We will talk about career outcomes for Organizational Leadership degrees as well as how to integrate your self-assessment results into your own career decisions and career conversations.

  6. Pursuing Your MBA
    MBA coursework involves a broad spectrum of business-related topics.  The advantage of pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration is its proven versatility. Learn about our 12 areas of concentration and what you will need for your application to get started! 

  7. Make a Difference as a School Nurse
    Are you an RN and would like to become a school nurse? Our school nurse certificate program will prepare you for a Professional Educator License endorsed in School Nursing.  A bachelor’s degree is required for endorsement. We offer both a non-degree and a master of science in nursing degree track option.

  8. Speech-Language Pathologist: What’s That?
    Speech-language pathology is a flexible career that allows therapists to work in variety of settings with all kinds of clients.  Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) work with children and adults with communication and swallowing difficulties. About half of all SLPs work in schools, and the other half work in healthcare settings and private clinics. Some SLPs specialize in developmental disorders, while others focus on rehabilitation of communication abilities following strokes or accidents. To work as an SLP, you must earn a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Lewis University is developing this degree program and will enroll its first cohort of 30 students in summer 2020. This session will review the process of becoming an SLP and the unique features that Lewis University will offer in this new degree option.  Join us for this exciting session to learn whether speech-language pathology is a great career fit for you!

  9. Advance Your Leadership Knowledge with an RN/BSN Completion
    Do you have an Associate Degree in Nursing and want to advance your career? Are you currently in nursing school at a Community College and want to be more competitive in the workplace? Attend this session to learn how we can help you complete your Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in an adult-friendly format and on a schedule that works for you!

  10. Educational Studies: Becoming a Teacher in a Time of Shortages
    Participants will hear about what it takes to earn a first teaching license as well as what programs are available in the College of Education at Lewis University.

    The latest information on employments and teacher shortages will be shared. Licensure requirements including entrance requirements, field experiences, and coursework, student teaching, and licensure exams will be explained. Education scholarship opportunities will be described. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in conversation about teaching as an essential profession.

  11. Graduate Education: Foundations, Literacy and Leadership
    This session is designed for individuals who already hold a teaching license and are interested in a graduate program to earn additional credentialing in:

    Faculty and program directors will present on the social justice emphasis embedded in these programs as well as admission to graduate education and requirements for licensure through the Illinois State Board of Education. This presentation will include information on both degree and endorsement programs. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with faculty and program directors to learn more about these individual programs. Education scholarship opportunities will be described.

  12. Becoming an Occupational Therapist
    Do you want to help people at-risk for or with disabilities maximize their quality of life?  Are you interested in understanding how human and environmental factors influence an individual’s participation in meaningful daily life activities?  If so, the field of Occupational Therapy may be for you.  Join us to learn more about the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Program and how you may be able to work with children and adults in a variety of medical and community-based settings.  The MSOT Program has applied for accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (ACOTA)

  13. Become a Nurse: Second Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
    This session will discuss how you can pursue your passion for nursing, even though you have a bachelor’s degree in another field.  Join us to learn how you can leverage your undergraduate degree to change careers and become a nurse.

  14. How to Maximize Your Military Credits and Benefits
    Meet with experts from our Office of Veterans Affairs and Recruitment to discuss the process to get the most out of your Military Credits and Benefits.

  2. The 21st Century Public Safety Organization Addresses the Complexities of our Contemporary Society
    Public safety organizations are in a period of renaissance. New approaches in serving the needs of the public are rapidly evolving. Prospective leaders of police, fire, emergency medical, private law enforcement services and other public safety occupations need to be equipped with modern approaches in serving the functionalities of such organizations. The accelerated Master’s in Public Safety Administration program provides students with the scholarship to lead a progressive agency.  The Criminal Justice program explores the principles of social justice, ethics and human rights.  We will present the many strengths of both programs that will help ensure your leadership success.

    This session will describe the Graduate Nursing program offerings at Lewis University. Career options for each of the specializations within MSN, DNP and Certificate Programs will also be discussed. We offer specializations in: Nursing Education, Healthcare Systems Leadership, Adult Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist, Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, School Nurse, and Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. This program is open to those with current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.

Campus Tours will leave from the building’s main entrance. Board the Lewis University shuttle and experience our 400 plus acre campus. Lewis University staff will be aboard to provide highlights and answer questions during this 30 minute tour. Space is limited.
