Danielle Lynne Burke, Director of Student Activities, is originally from South Carolina. She obtained a B.S. in Psychology from the College of Charleston where she was involved in Greek Life, Residence Life, served as a New Student Orientation Intern, on Student Senate, the College Honor Board and, when not at the beach, could be found cheering on Cougar athletics. After undergrad, Danielle went on to receive her Master’s in Higher Education Administration from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Fun fact, while in Nashville, Danielle was in three music videos and two movies!

Prior to joining Lewis University, Danielle worked in Residence Life at three Chicagoland institutions. In addition to this work she was heavily involved in New Student Orientation, campus programming, taught two first year courses, and worked with athletics to enhance the University community.

You can find Danielle on Twitter: @daniellelynne or Instagram: @danilynne, or the old fashioned way of stopping by BJG 104 to say hello! Her most used hashtags are #livecolorfully and #celebrateeverything and she fully owns the fact she overuses the princess emoji.

Rose Kavanaugh is in pursuit of her Masters of Science in Project Management. She is originally from Chicago Heights, IL and lived in various parts of the Chicagoland area. In 2011, Rose graduated from Seton Academy in South Holland, IL. In 2015, she obtained her Bachelors of Science in Interior and Environmental Design from Illinois State University. During her undergrad experience, she was won an in-house retail design competition, and her thesis focused on the interior design of correctional facilities regarding the psychological impact on inmates and recidivism. She began her career as a retail designer and store supply planner for a major department chain in Hoffman Estates, and a major hardware retail chain in Chicago, IL.

Rose stumbled into Student Activities and enjoys the atmosphere of Higher Education. She loves being in a position of mentoring students, and being a part of an Office that is focused on fun. When she is not studying, Rose enjoys being active, trying new places to eat, and challenging herself as an artist.

Contrary to this photo, Rose loves to laugh and joke.
