Meet the Student Workers

Gregory Chomko

Major: Aviation Administration

Year: Junior

Hobbies: spending time with friends, being involved in the theater, photography, and spending time on aviation websites.

On Campus Involvement: I'm currently a student worker in the SORC Office. I plan on joining GSA, Harmonic Uprising, and AAAE during the fall semester.

A little bit more about me: Something that people don't know about me is that I was adopted from Ukraine when I was 10 months old.



Angelina Damato

Major: Special Education

Year: Junior

Hobbies: Reading, Dancing, SHOPPING !!

On Campus Involvement: Treasurer of Theta Kappa Pi, Involved in Best Buddies, Tutor at the local library in Romeoville.

A little bit more about me: All of the necklaces I wear are from my Nana and I always have one on.



Josh Hamel

Major: Finance

Year: sophomore

Hobbies: Ultimate Frisbee, Tennis, Lifting, Wakeboarding

On Campus Involvement: SGB, RHA, SORC

A little bit more about me:I enjoy many types of music and go to as many concerts as I can. I also spend a lot of time at my lake house doing water sports. Overall, I am a very active person and enjoy meeting new people.



Edgar Izaguirre

Major: Business Administration and Marketing

Year: Junior

Hobbies: Volleyball, baseball, dancing, music, and hanging out with friends.

On Campus Involvement: Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc., LASO, Inter-Greek Council

A little bit more about me: I was born and raised in Chicago, IL, but currently stay on campus. I am the middle child of three and the only Chicago White Sox Fan in my family. I am a very outgoing person and easy to get along with. I am always willing to give a helping hand where it is needed. One thing I don't like to do is to eat hot chips!



Amanda Jones

Major: History/ secondary education

Year: Senior

Hobbies: reading, writing, sleeping.

On Campus Involvement: SGB, NPHC, BSU, Senior Class Council.

A little bit more about me: i like to watch movies A LOT, i love Chicago style popcorn, music is my therapy, and i love tacos, pizza, and fruit roll ups :)



Nycolas Kilcoyne

Major: Communication Studies
Minors: Marketing and Public Relations

Year: Senior

Hobbies: I really enjoy listening to music on my free time. I enjoy music hunting and finding new music to play during my DJ sets. That leads me to my next hobby which is being a DJ. My favorite type of music to play is Electric Dance Music and Hip-Hop but I’m not opposed to played other genres of music.

On Campus Involvement: Men's Club Basketball, National Communication Association, and the PULSE.

A little bit more about me: I am the oldest and only boy in my family. I have three sisters that I care about so much. I am a family oriented person and I believe that comes from the way my mother raised me. I love playing basketball despite the many injuries I have received from the sport. I looove eating chips and my favorite snack is popcorn and hot chips.



Jenny Vargas

Year: Senior

How long have you worked in SORC: This is my second year working in SORC. What I like most about it is the diversity that we have in this office among student workers. We might be culturally different but we all get along and care for each other.

A little bit more about me: I was born in Mexico and came to live in Chicago since the age of 6 years old. Throughout life I have learned to have a positive attitude in order to achieve my goals. My major at Lewis is Biology and I am keeping a positive attitude to reach my goal of attending Medical School! I love spending time with my family, listening to Spanish and English music and dancing.



Matthew Wall

Major: Computer Science

Year: Sophmore

Hobbies: I like to play football, soccer, swim, and just relax with friends.

On Campus Involvement: Big Brother, Big Sister mentor

How Long have you working in SORC: This is my second year working in SORC.

A little bit more about me: I am very easy to get along with. When around new people, I am usually quiet but as soon as I get comfortable I am fun to be around. My friends look at me as the comedian in the group.
