Lewis University proudly announces the addition of its latest online degree program, a Master of Science in Data Science. The online Master of Science program was crafted to instill within professionals a comprehensive understanding of big data analysis and management.
The program is designed to prepare professionals with an advanced skillset of mathematics and computer science as they relate to the field of data analysis, and the techniques and theories taught are applicable to a variety of fields, ranging from natural and social science to healthcare and education. The 36-credit-hour program also offers two unique concentrations: Data Science for Computer Scientists and Data Science for Life Scientists.
Upon graduating, students of the online Master of Science in Data Science are equipped to create large-scale data storage systems, explain how data science techniques can be used to solve problems related to the life sciences using data from a variety of sources and develop solutions for data management projects that help solve problems related to life science applications.
