Lewis University received the Frank Turk Sr. Outstanding Campaign Achievement Award for exceeding fundraising goals and raising more than $38,000 for United Way of Will County.
Lewis University is the first educational institution to receive this prestigious award, which is presented annually by United Way to organizations and businesses with outstanding workplace contributions and volunteers in the annual campaign that benefits the 46 agencies of United Way.
United Way of Will County works with local volunteers to identify and solve critical issues faced by many Will County residents. The organization supports 46 local nonprofit agencies that provide programs and services addressing the most critical needs of Will County communities. One in four Will County residents are positively impacted by United Way of Will County Partner Agencies, which work to help children and youth succeed, families and individuals achieve self-sufficiency, strengthen neighborhoods and maintain a safety net of essential human care services.
