Math and Computer Science students are honored for outstanding achievement

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Lewis University honored 15 students during the College of Arts and Sciences Senior Awards ceremony for outstanding academic achievements.

Holding a GPA of 3.5 or higher while taking at least 40 credit hours at Lewis University , the award recipients include:

  • Jeff Brick of Joliet, Computer Science

  • Amy Choi of Buffalo Grove, Mathematics

  • Jessica Dreher of Justice, Mathematics and Computer Science

  • Ernie Knight of Plainfield, Mathematics and Physics

  • Shane Miller of Tinley Park, Computer Science

  • Katie Nocchi of Algonquin, Computer Science

  • Jessica Pudelek of Naperville, Computer Science

  • Elie Shamyel of Darien, Computer Science

  • Sean Smith of Winnebago, Mathematics

  • Dennis Stachura of Plainfield, Computer Science

  • Lukasz Szczesniak of Burbank, Computer Science

  • Christopher Troxell of Des Plaines, Mathematics

  • Andrea Veeneman of Plainfield, Computer Science

  • Adam Woods of Frankfort, Computer Science

Of those students, two were selected to receive a distinguished Senior Departmental Award for Mathematics and Computer Science. Both earning a GPA for 4.0 while at Lewis, Jessica Dreher won the Senior Departmental Award for Mathematics, and Jessica Pudelek won the Senior Departmental Award for Computer Science.
