Illinois Counseling Association Honors Lewis University Counseling Program

Ethical, culturally sensitive, and state-of-the-art practices earned  Lewis University's Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program recognition as the recipient of the Illinois Counseling Association’s Leo G. Bent Outstanding Professional Counseling Program in Illinois Award.

Lewis University excelled in certain areas to receive the Leo G. Bent Outstanding Professional Counseling Award.

• Multiple faculty members who are active members of the ICA and the American Counseling Association showed commitment to quality professional counseling and standards.
• A 90 percent job placement rate of graduates has increased awareness of the Lewis University program, in addition to enrollment efforts, and impacted the community through the work of its students and alumni.
• Since 2021, Lewis University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling, M.A., has been accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs, demonstrating exemplary professional counseling practices, including an emphasis on ethical, culturally sensitive, and state-of-the-art practices that meet the needs of current and potential students.
