Dr. Steve Nawara, chair and professor of political science, answers, "Why I Should Go Out and Vote?" in a video blog for Voter Registration Day.
He is part of the Lewis University Civic Engagement Committee, which encourages all students, faculty, and staff to participate in the democratic process by voting.
Register to vote by October 20 to be eligible to vote in the Nov. 5 election. Visit https://lewisu.turbovote.org/ for assistance with voter registration.
Also, the Civic Engagement Committee is hosting voter registration tables on the Romeoville Campus for several weeks. Visit the signup sheet to schedule a shift to help others register to vote at one of the registration areas.
