Update on Community Alert: Domestic Battery Incident 09/01/24

The Lewis University Police Department was notified of the arrest of the suspect in the domestic battery case, which occurred on September 1 in a residence hall on the Lewis University Romeoville campus. 

 

The Romeoville Police Department arrested an 18-year-old male from Bolingbrook, Ill., not affiliated with Lewis University, on the evening of September 3 off campus. The suspect was charged with aggravated domestic battery and criminal damage to property. He remains in custody at the Will County Adult Detention Center, awaiting a pre-trial detention hearing.  

  

This case remains under investigation and is being led by the Romeoville Police Department in collaboration with LUPD. 

 

LUPD is reminding community members to be aware of their surroundings, maintain building security by not propping doors or allowing unknown persons to enter, and report any suspicious activity to LUPD at 815-836-5911.
