Lewis Welcomes New Leadership in Diversity Initiatives and Technology

Two accomplished professionals have been selected to provide leadership and direction in key areas for Lewis’s strategic future. Dr. Shireen Roshanravan has accepted the invitation to serve as Vice President for Diversity, beginning June 17. Also welcomed is Michael Rading as the new Chief Information Officer (CIO), starting May 15.
Shireen Roshanravan is currently serving as the Director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion at Northeastern Illinois University. Her passion for fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone thrives aligns seamlessly with Lewis's Lasallian values.
The co-editor of several books and special journal issues on the practice of deep coalition-building, Dr. Roshanravan earned her doctorate from the State University of New York at Binghamton in Philosophy, Interpretation & Culture. Her publications include Asian American Feminisms and Women of Color Politics; Speaking Face-to-Face: The Visionary Philosophy of María Lugones; and #WeToo: A Reader.
Michael Rading is currently serving as Chief Information Officer of Baltimore City Community College. He is an experienced leader in IT governance, management, risk, information system controls, information security, and data privacy. Before joining BCCC, he was CIO of the Baltimore City Public Schools, where he led its 80,000 students and 10,000 staff in a digital transformation that enabled remote learning and remote work in the 2020-21 school year. His leadership at Lewis University will include the advancement of information technology infrastructure and services to ensure reliable, secure, and innovative technology that empowers learning, research, and administrative processes.
