Art Exhibition “Three Faces of Eve” at Lewis University

Published: August 28, 2022.

Lewis University will host an art exhibition by artist Eve Ozer.  The show will be on display daily from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. and runs from August 29 – September 25 in the Brent and Jean Wadsworth Family Gallery, located on Lewis University’s main campus in Romeoville. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

A reception and Gallery Talk will take place from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, September 8, at the gallery, also free and open to the public. Visitors are asked to fill out a health screening form prior to visiting the exhibit.

Eve Ozer is a Chicago area artist whose work is in private collections throughout the United States and the United Kingdom and is part of the permanent collection of the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, Chicago. Ozer stated, “My work is an act of storytelling / a gesture of intimacy / a psychological disrobing / an imaginary conversation. The threads that weave my work together are beauty, fantasy, curiosity and imagination.”

Imagination is where the German-born artist lived in her early years. She created a mythical mirror twin named Ila and a magic world of unlimited possibilities. Using paper and paint, this body of work, in three acts, took 71 years to complete.

The Art Gallery is part of the Oremus Fine Arts Center at Lewis University. The Department of Art and Design manages the gallery, which includes Lewis University student shows, local and regional artist shows, annual high school exhibits, faculty shows, academic-based exhibitions and cultural and religious-based art shows. More information about the Art Gallery and exhibits is available by contacting Natalie Swain, Art Gallery coordinator, at
