The show will be on display from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. daily and runs until October 22 in the Brent and Jean Wadsworth Family Gallery, located on Lewis University’s main campus in Romeoville. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

A reception and Gallery Talk will take place at 7 p.m. on October 21 at the gallery, also free and open to the public. Visitors are asked to wear face coverings and fill out health screening form prior to visiting the exhibit. lewisu.edu/covid-19/visitor-health-screening.htm

The Chicago Society of Artists was founded in 1887 and is the oldest continuing artist association in the United States. Early members of the Chicago Society of Artists such as the Albrights, Lorado Taft, and LeRoy Neiman established and maintained high standards for CSA membership, and a juried process is still used to accept contemporary members. CSA plays an important role in the arts by providing an atmosphere in which artists share their art experiences through a continuing series of exhibitions, educational programs, and member publications. This exhibit, "As We See It" demonstrates the versatility of the artists, a variety of mediums, and an eclectic interpretation of the human experience through a common bond: Art.

The nation’s oldest art society is well into its second century of exhibiting art. CSA’s exhibitions are sought by galleries due to the artists’ ability to interpret the real and imaginary world via artistic versatility and eclectic styles across a variety of art mediums.

The Art Gallery is part of the Oremus Fine Arts Center at Lewis University. The Department of Art and Design manages the gallery, which includes Lewis University student shows, local and regional artist shows, annual high school exhibits, faculty shows, academic-based exhibitions and cultural and religious-based art shows. More information about the Art Gallery and exhibits is available by contacting Natalie Swain, Art Gallery coordinator, at swainna@lewisu.edu.
