Lewis University Honors May Degree Recipients Online

Published: May 18, 2020.

Lewis University commemorated Spring Commencement for almost 1,000 students virtually May 17 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Congratulatory videos are available online on the Lewis University YouTube page (www.youtube.com/lewisuniversity).

All May 2020 Commencement Degree Ceremonies and related events have been postponed and are rescheduled for the evening of Friday, December 18 and during the day on Saturday, December 19 as part of December 2020 Commencement Weekend. The dates are subject to change given the evolving nature of the pandemic and the need for the university to adhere to all State of Illinois and Centers for Disease Control guidelines.

As part of the rescheduled ceremonies, Caley Oltman, an elementary education/special education major who is earning her degree this May, will be presented the Fr. Aquinas Colgan Award. The honor has been given annually since 1955 to a student who has shown exemplary personal, intellectual and social development in the spirit of the Mission of Lewis University.
