Lewis University's track and field teams had five student-athletes qualify for next week's NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships which will take place next Thursday-Saturday (May 23-25) at Javelina Stadium in Kingsville, Texas.

Of the five, one was on the men's team and four were from the women's team.

John Partee (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield South) qualified in the 800-meter run. He ranks 11th in the event after posting a personal best and GLVC Outdoor Track and Field Championship meet record in the event with a time of 1:50.15 two weekends ago. Partee also qualified for the 800 at Indoor Track and Field Championships back in March.

She ranks 12th nationally in the event after breaking the GLVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships with a time of 2:09.51 in the prelims. This is Macleod's second trip to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships also qualifying in 2018.

Lane Kadlec (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) earned an automatic qualifying mark in the shot put. She won the event at the GLVC Track and Field Championships with a toss of 15.83 meters (51'11.25"). Kadlec is ranked fifth in the event heading into the national meet.

She is ranked 14th in the long jump with her season best of 5.96 meters (19'6.75") at the GLVC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
