The Lewis University men's and women's track and field teams are among the region's best, as the Flyers are both ranked in the Top Ten of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Midwest Region computer rankings released on Tuesday (Feb. 5).
The women's team is eighth overall with 105.41 points, while the men enter at No. 10, with 88.99 points.
"It's always nice to see our teams among the region's best," Lewis head track and field coach Dana Schwarting said. "Now we have to focus on moving up those rankings."
Lewis returns to action on Friday (Feb. 8), as the Flyer women will participate in the Chicagoland Championships, hosted by North Central, and the men will head to Ames, Iowa to participate in the Iowa State Classic.
