Three Flyers Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

Published: July 27, 2021.

The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its Academic Honor Roll and Academic squads on Tuesday afternoon (July 27), with the Lewis women's lacrosse program being present on both lists.

Three Flyers were named to the Academic Honor Roll, which requires each student-athlete to be an upperclassman and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above. Senior Faith Engle (Marysville, OH/Marysville High School) leads the way for Lewis working on her degree in sports management. Junior Katelyn Kuzmanko (West Olive, Mich./West Ottawa High School) (Finance) and senior Jamie Reiger (Exercise Science and Movement) join Engle, who were honored as Academic All-GLVC honorees last month. 73 institutions represent 442 student-athletes across NCAA Division II that achieved this accolade for the 2020-21 academic year.

As a team, the Flyers were named an Academic Honor Squad, surpassing the minimum 3.20 cumulative GPA. Lewis was one of 319 programs across the entire NCAA and NAIA that earned this honor.
