The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced on Wednesday (Dec. 6) that Lewis University senior Nico Mueller (Braunschweig, Germany/Raabeschule Braunschweig) has been named to the CoSIDA NCAA Division II Academic All-America Men's Soccer Third Team.

Mueller totaled a 3.76 GPA in psychology following the Spring '17 semester.

He finished the season with 13 goals, including six game-winners, to go along with two assists.

He was twice named GLVC Offensive Player of the Week and was the United Soccer Coaches Division II Player of the Week on Oct. 24 after scoring five goals in two games.

Mueller recorded a hat trick in a 3-2 win over Quincy (Oct. 20) and was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region First Team.

"I am happy for Nico," Lewis head men's soccer coach Evan Fiffles said. "He has worked hard in the classroom and on the field."
