Lewis' Aly Schneider Named D2CCA Women's Volleyball All-American

The Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) announced on Tuesday (Dec. 5) that Lewis University women's volleyball player Aly Schneider (Granger, Ind./Penn) earned Second Team All-America honors in a vote conducted by the nation's Sports Information Directors.

Schneider was named the Midwest Region's Player of the Year by both the D2CCA and the American Volleyball Coaches Association. She finished the year with a .354 hitting percentage while tallying 382 kills, 23 blocks and 113 block assists.

She was also a First Team All-GLVC selection this year and twice earned Baden/GLVC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Schneider helped the Flyers finish the year with a 33-3 record and with a .917 winning percentage, the best mark in program history.
