The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced on Wednesday (Nov. 29) that Lewis University women's volleyball players Aly Schneider (Granger, Ind./Penn), Abby Becker (Menomonee Falls, Wis./Menomonee Falls) and Elizabeth Hyland (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) have been named to the AVCA Division II All-Midwest Region Team.

All three players were previously named to the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-Region Team and were AVCA All-Americans last year.

She also was the D2CCA Midwest Region Player of the Year, a First Team All-GLVC selection and twice earned Baden/GLVC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Becker and Hyland are now two-time AVCA All-Region selections.

Becker has 1,090 assists, 216 digs and 74 kills, while posting a .320 hitting percentage.

Hyland leads the Flyers with 386 kills on the season to go along with 337 digs and 59 blocks. She was a Baden/GLVC Offensive Player of the Week recipient three times this year.

The Flyers begin play in the NCAA Midwest Regional Thursday (Nov. 30) at 7:30 PM against Michigan Tech at Neil Carey Arena.
