The Campus Closet Wins Elevator Pitch Competition at Lewis University

During the fall semester, Lewis University student Laura Fox won the top prize for her idea of The Campus Closet. The Lowell Stahl Center of Entrepreneurship and Real Estate award was for the Elevator Pitch and Poster Competition. There were seven Lewis University students that pitched their business ideas and products at the contest.

The 2015 Elevator Pitch and Poster Competition required participants to submit their proposals beforehand and create a poster board with pre-made templates. At the competition, students then pitched their ideas to individual visitors before finally presenting in front of a panel of judges. Judges included Wayne C. Marth, A.I.A., President of Arcline Construction Services, Inc., Terry Arya, Chief Marketing Officer of Christian Brothers Services and Richard Burke, Lewis University faculty member. The students competed for the first prize of an iPad Air and second and third cash prizes.

After first prize was awarded to Laura Fox, the second prize and Student Choice Award was awarded to Marius Poskocimas and Bria May. All of the presenters and their pitches are as follows:

  • Danielle Vitagliano: “Onvitation”

  • Bria May: “Wipe Out”

  • Laura Fox: “The Campus Closet”

  • Valeda Bell: “Moon & Starz”

  • Chris Brown: “Reynold Department Store”
