College of Business Hosts Business Professionals Regional Competition

The College of Business hosted the Business Professionals of America, Area 20, Regional competition for the third consecutive year on Jan 8.

Approximately 275 high school students from Willowbrook, Westmont, Lyons Township, Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South High Schools participated.

“The guests were very pleased with the expansive and recently renovated St. Charles Borromeo building. In addition, the guests greatly appreciated the opportunity to work with the College of Business and the opportunity to use the building,” said Dr. Rami Khasawneh, dean of the College of Business.

Some examples of the competition included: interviewing skills, small business case studies and graphic design promotion. Students advanced from the regional competition to the state competition in Oak Brook, Ill. with hopes to advance to the national competition in Boston, Mass.
