Top Ten Emerging Technologies

The November issue of Scientific American had an interesting article on the Top Ten Emerging Technologies of 2020.

Their analysis is based on research and development activity occurring around the country in labs and industry.

What I found most interesting is to consider the impact these advances could have on students studying in areas such as biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering and nursing, to name a few. It could certainly lead to wider career opportunities and new types of job roles to be filled by future college graduates.

Like you, we do our best to keep our students informed of the many opportunities their college degrees can lead them toward.

As a university originally founded on aviation, the prospect of an electric jet engine is certainly a potential game-changer and reflective of the ongoing advancements in the airline industry.
