How Has Covid-19 Affected Fall 2020 Enrollment Nationally?

Yesterday, the National Student Clearinghouse released a report on initial fall enrollments from reporting institutions across the country. It is part of an ongoing series of data releases they will conduct to help better understand enrollment across all higher education institutions in the midst of the pandemic. The Tableau format allows for easy review and manipulations of the data to customize your views.

Some of their initial findings:

  • Undergraduate enrollments are running 2.5% down from last year
  • Public, 2-year colleges have experienced the largest percentage decline
  • International and minority enrollment is down across the country

How has Lewis University fared during this time?

Our initial fall headcount of 6,426 is approximately 60 students higher than last year. Our strongest performance was in graduate enrollment, particularly in our new Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology programs.

I would encourage you to bookmark the page from the National Student Clearinghouse, as they will be updating this information throughout the year.
