A Different Type of Bilingual Education

With flexible classes that work for returning students or those who have full-time jobs or a family, St. Augustine College is here to support the success of our Hispanic students and community at large.
What Programs Does St. Augustine College Offer?
St. Augustine College at Lewis University degree programs offer flexible class schedules, small class sizes, reducing and eliminating debt, and one-on-one counseling with learning facilitators. These programs are available with English as a second language, helping Spanish-speaking students have the opportunity to both grow their careers and advance their English-speaking skills.
Below are just a few of the programs offered at St. Augustine College:
Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy
You will receive the training needed to work as a respiratory therapist in hospitals, home care, pulmonary clinics, and other healthcare environments with this 6-semester program designed to train students in the growing field of respiratory therapy. With the skills needed to provide specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as medical gas administration, airway management, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as well as hands-on training in a variety of patient care-focused facilities, you will receive an associate's degree with the eligibility to take the National Board for Respiratory Care exam. Completing this exam means you are eligible to sit for the NBRC Clinical Simulation exam, and upon successful completion will receive a Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Early Childhood Education (ECE)
This two-year program dedicated to ECE can help you on one of three pathways to earning credentials in early childhood education through the Gateways to Opportunity program. Recognized by the Illinois Department of Human Services Bureau of Child Care and Development, these credential programs can help you on your path to a career in early learning programs. With a St. Augustine College curriculum that prioritizes specific educational benchmarks, you can be confident stepping into the job market with the credentials recognized by the state of Illinois.
Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Business Administration
A two-year program with a liberal arts education and a concentration in business administration, the A.A. in Business Administration program can be a stepping stone to either a Bachelor’s in Business Administration in accounting or an opportunity to start a career in the world of business. By focusing on training students in a range of skills, such as basic financial statements, the principles of business organization, and the conceptualization of both macro and microeconomic market theories, you can enter the field of business with a strong grasp on the essentials of business administration.
