The Doherty Center for Aviation and Health Research at Lewis University is proud to sponsor the Fourth Annual Aviation Graduate Research Symposium. The Aviation Graduate Research Symposium is an event that celebrates research, scholarly work, and creative endeavors of graduate students studying topics within aviation management, training, safety, security, and technology. It is a rich opportunity for graduate students to present scholarly work to their peers within the aviation industry and network with industry members towards other potential research opportunities. Work created in 2013 and 2014 will be eligible for consideration.

You are asked to carefully read the information provided on this site as a guide in identifying the appropriate types of works for presenting, how to submit your abstract, abstract guidelines, schedule of events, and event details.
Recognition will be in the form of cash prizes. All accepted submissions will appear in proceedings to be distributed during the symposium.

The last day for abstract submission for the 2014 Aviation Graduate Research Symposium is Friday, April 18, 2014 by 5:00 CST. For more information, please see Registration.
Each presentation and abstract will be scored by a judging panel consisting of local aviation industry members. Scoring will reflect presentation quality, methodology of the study, and research relevance within the aviation industry.
First place: $300
Second place: $200
Third place: $100
