English Education

If your previous school was taught in English, then you may be exempt from the language requirement.  Please check your eligibility for an English waiver; if your country is listed, then you do not need to submit language exams.  If your country is not listed, but your school was taught in English, you can fulfill the English Proficiency requirement with a combination of the following:

  1. IGCSE Exam - A Level, with an ACT or SAT exam score
  2. International Baccalaureate scores, with an ACT or SAT exam score

ESL School based in USA

Students that are currently in the United States, attending a partnered ESL school, can submit their graduation exam to fulfill the language requirement.  Not all ESL schools are listed below, so please email and inquire if your ESL school certificate can be submitted.

USA based Transfer Students

If you are currently in the United States and enrolled in a College or University, then you may be exempt from the language requirement.  Students that have completed a bachelor degree, master degree, or a minimum of two college level English courses, may be waived from the English requirement.

Lewis English Language Policy – The university reserves the right to test the English proficiency of all incoming students, and to place students in courses which will help them acquire the English language skills needed to be successful in an academic classroom.
