Ranger Challenge

Ranger Challenge has been described as the varsity sport of ROTC.

Team members train six days a week over the course of two months in preparation for the Task Force Marseilles competition. Training is not limited to physical fitness, but also includes various soldier skills such as first aid, hand grenade assault, and marksmanship.

Cadets then compete annually at Marseilles Training Center, Illinois over a three day period in October. For the past four years the Rolling Thunder Battalion has fielded two 9-man teams - a Wheaton College 9-man team and a Lewis University 9-man team. In recent years, the addition of two 5-man teams and a 5-member female team have been fielded to compete.
