Lewis Counselors for Social Justice
Lewis Counselors for Social Justice (LewisCSJ) is a graduate student organization at Lewis University for both Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling students.
LewisCSJ began with an interest group in the fall of 2019. On March 12, 2021, LewisCSJ received university chapter status from the Counselors for Social Justice national organization, a division of the American Counseling Association.
LewisCSJ’s purpose is to bring together agents of change in the Lewis University community who are ready and willing to take action towards addressing social inequities, combat generational stigma about mental health, promote cultural competence, and make positive societal change through collaborative work amongst social service professionals that is action driven.
