Proposal Review Process

Proposals will be reviewed by a panel comprised of faculty from the Lasallian Research Oversight Committee and representative Lewis University Faculty. Proposals are first reviewed by the Lasallian Research Program Coordinator to assure that applications are relevant to the aims of the Lewis University Lasallian Research Program and for proposal completeness. Incomplete proposals will be returned to the applicant. Following this initial screening, proposals are then distributed to a panel of reviewers and evaluated using the Lasallian Research Proposal Rubric (FORM I).

Possible proposal review outcomes are:

  • Approved without conditions
  • Approved with conditions as specified
  • Not approved

Funding recommendations are reviewed by the Lasallian Research Program Coordinating Committee Chair and submitted to the Provost’s Office. Funding decisions are communicated to the applicant(s) in writing.
