For: All High School Students (Freshmen – Seniors)
Location: Lewis University, Romeoville Campus (Harold E. White Aviation Center)
Cost: $1,495 for the week (includes Room & Board, meals and flight cost)
Participants will have the opportunity to fly in Cessna 172s each day, take a behind-the-scenes tour of an airport, participate in various aviation classes, use flight simulators and quadcopter drones and learn about the aviation industry from current professionals in aviation. Aviation meteorology, aircraft maintenance, air traffic control, flight theory, and 21st century aircraft including drones, will be some of the topics discussed by Lewis aviation professors. Participants will also have access to the Lewis fleet of 25 airplanes, as well as experiencing flight with a flight instructor. Students will receive a Pilot log book and be able to log their hours.
