Sancta Alberta was named for the first wife of Frank J. Lewis, one of the founders
of the University. The bell tower above the chapel serves as one of the University’s
landmarks and is an important element of the University’s identity.
The Sancta Alberta
Chapel holds optional services for the university community
on Sundays at 8 p.m. and on weekdays at noon. The building includes:
Immediately outside of the main entrance are the new Founder’s Garden
and Heritage Circle featuring:
- Statue of St. John Baptist de La Salle
- Benches for relaxing and socializing
- Beautiful and reflective surroundings, including a fountain
If you are interested in service, University
Ministry sponsors numerous volunteer
outreach programs throughout the year including:
- Trips locally, nationally, and internationally
- Retreats
- Visits to local shelters
- Coordination of food and clothing drives
The Peer Ministry
Program involves current students who live in residence
halls. These students
- Provide assistance to other students
- Coordinate social and spiritual events
