Dedicated in 1996, La Salle House was built as the residence for the De La Salle Christian Brothers who live on campus. The Christian Brothers initially came to Lewis in 1960. Today, under the leadership of Brother James Gaffney, FSC, President, 16 Brothers serve in various capacities such as professors, administrators, librarian, counselors, university minister, and archivist. The Brothers continue to carry on the works of St. John Baptist de La Salle in their commitment to teaching and service.
