The Office of the Provost is pleased to offer the availability of both a Chevrolet Venture minivan and a Ford Taurus sedan for the purpose of transporting students to museums, conferences, presentations, performances and other events and experiences that complement classroom teaching. The acquisition of these vehicles address an initiative of Lewis University’s strategic plan, Vision 2006: Learning, Mission and Leadership, which calls for the provision of transportation to assist faculty integrate field experiences into course work that takes advantage of Chicago’s unique resources to enhance student learning.

The Chevy Venture minivan is a roomy passenger van that can seat seven individuals comfortably (including the driver). It is also air conditioned. This vehicle is part of the University’s fleet and is maintained regularly.

The driver of these vehicles, who must be an employee of the University (not a student), is covered by University insurance policies.
