Faculty/Staff Blackboard



Lewis University's on-line course management system is Blackboard, a networked application accessible from any web browser. Blackboard is used to teach many on-line courses or as a tool to supplement classroom instruction. Training for faculty is available from Suzan Sollie (solliesu@lewisu.edu).

Access Blackboard

Click on or go to: http://www.lewisu.edu/bb

  • Your username is the FIRST PART of your Lewis University e-mail address or the following format:
    • The standard format is: First 6 letters of your last name plus first 2 letters of your first name. For example: a login for Mark Johnson would be johnsoma.
  • Your username and password are the same using all lower case letters.

Blackboard Request Forms

New Course Shell, Course Roll-Over (Copy), Course Roster Update, a New Organization Shell, Technical Training, or Request for Classroom Equipment can be found at http://www.lewisu.edu/tlt/index.htm

Change Your Blackboard Password

  • Click on the Faculty/Staff tab at the top of the page.
  • Click on Personal Information under Tools on the left side of the page.
  • Click on Change Password.
  • Enter your new password twice. NOTE: Your password is case sensitive.
  • Click Submit.

Change Your Personal Information/ Email Address

  • Click on the Faculty/Staff tab at the top of the page.
  • Click on Personal Information under Tools on the left side of the page.
  • Click on Edit Personal Information.
  • Change the desired information.
  • Click Submit.
