A self proclaimed “sports nut”, Brian is Lewis University’s Associate Director of Athletics for External Affairs for the Department of Athletics. He oversees the development of marketing strategies aimed at increasing attendance, ticket sales and corporate partnerships. He also is responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of the athletic department. Brian serves as the Chairperson for the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and is an active participant in SAAC’s annual Make-a-Wish Foundation fundraiser and food and clothing drives.
Brian has been around sports his entire life and played both baseball and golf in college. He believes that we have a fantastic athletics program here at Lewis and appreciates that he can be a part of it.
Brian came to Lewis in September 2001 as the Assistant Sports Information Director, a media relations position that afforded him the opportunity to use his background as an English/Journalism major. He took advantage of the University’s tuition remission program and earned his MBA in 2005. That same year he was promoted to his current position.
Brian likes the private school setting at Lewis. Having gone to a small liberal arts college, he values the intimacy that Lewis provides. He believes this “allows you to meet people from different realms of the University with whom you can develop a sense of camaraderie and share experiences.”
Insurance benefits and proximity to home are what first drew him to the
University, but the fun and friendly environment are what keep him here.
