All regular full time and regular part time employees are eligible for up to three working days leave with pay in the event of the death of a member of the immediate family, and one day for relatives outside the immediate family. In addition and upon request, the employee shall be authorized the use of up to two (2.0) days of accrued Short Term Disability Bank (STDB) time for such purpose. Relatives residing in the employee's household shall be considered members of the immediate family.

Additional leave does not accrue if the funeral occurs during other periods of authorized leave. Use of bereavement leave, as indicated above, is to be recorded on the Bi-weekly Time Report. An obituary notice, holy card, or other evidence supporting the leave must accompany the bi-weekly time report upon which the leave is recorded.
