Midwest Mission Effectiveness Consortium (MMEC)

The Midwest Mission Effectiveness Consortium (MMEC) is an association of mission effectiveness officers, campus ministers, and other faculty and staff from Midwestern Catholic colleges and universities who are responsible for institutional mission. More information about the history and foundations of this consortium.

The primary activity of the MMEC is the annual Midwest Mission Effectiveness Symposium held each summer. It is an occasion for those responsible with advancing mission at their respective institution to share best practices and ideas, discuss sponsorship issues, explore the implications of the Apostolic Constitution, Ex Corde Ecclesiae and meet other individuals with similar experiences and job responsibilities. The symposium is held at the end of May/beginning of June each year at a different member institution. More information about past and upcoming symposia.

Members of the consortium are typically mission effectiveness officers, mission effectiveness committee members, faculty, staff and administrators seeking to integrate mission into their area of responsibility; and all individuals who have significant mission-related positions at Catholic colleges and universities.
