75th Anniversary

Built in 1931, "the dormitory" as it was called was the original space for students at Holy Name Technical School to sleep. Over the years, several wings and additions were added to this structure. Today, it is called Sheil Hall, named after Bishop Bernard J. Sheil, Auxiliary Bishop for the Archdiocese of Chicago, and one of Lewis University’s three original Founders.
