75th Anniversary

The New Millennium

The campus renovation program, now approaching the $50 million mark, continues as the University begins the 21st century. New hangars were constructed west of the Aviation Center and Lewis has acquired De La Salle Hall (formerly Christian Brothers Center) as a campus facility. The College of Education is one of only 15 in the State of Illinois to achieve accreditation from the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. The Philip Lynch Theatre celebrated its 30th anniversary and the College of Arts & Sciences celebrated its 50th anniversary. Lewis observed its 75th year with a major celebration in 2006-2007 when the anniversary was the focus of a year long calendar of activities.

Looking forward to continued growth, Lewis University has strengthened its commitment to provide each student with more than a quality education. By going a step beyond traditional education, Lewis instills in each person socially responsible values, and a sense of personal achievement in striving for overall.
