Published: February 6, 2012.
Lewis University's Office International Student Services and the Aviation Department welcomed visitors representing the Mongolian Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). Mr. Gantumur Bayarsaikhan, toured campus, taking pictures of the facilities and learning more about a potential partnership between the CAA and Lewis University. William Brogan, Chair of the Aviation Department, provided information on Lewis' programs and areas of specialization as Mongolia looks to become a major cargo hub in Asia. Plans are under way to complete a new airport in the capital, Ulaanbaatar by 2016.
The partnership would provide language training at Dominican University in River Forest for traditional degree-seeking undergraduate applicants prior to full admission. Students would be sponsored by the Mongolian government.
