Come Clean, Go Green

Competition Rules & Regulations

The Come Clean, Go Green competition is a program dedicated to helping make Lewis a more sustainable campus with ideas from Lewis Students across all disciplines. The program is sponsored each year by the Lewis University Sustainability Council. The winning proposal will receive a $300 cash prize!

The 2017 theme is Don’t Be Wasteful – Ideas on ways to save water, energy and waste.

Competition Rules

Each proposal should be a 3-5 page plan with the following sections: cover page, table of contents, introduction and explanation of need on campus, plan of implementation, how you will use the $600 budget, conclusion, and a list of any sources used. This can be an individual or team effort, however all proposals must include a Lewis Faculty or Staff advisor. You must attend the award ceremony in order to receive a prize.

Proposals will be blindly judge by a panel of faculty and staff members on the Lewis University Sustainability Council. New for 2017, the panel will determine a first place winner only, who will receive a $300 reward and up to $600 to implement their proposal. All those who submit a proposal will also be eligible to receive the Student Choice Award during the Award Ceremony. The winning Student Choice proposal will receive a $100 cash prize

Proposals are due by 3/31/2017 and should be submitted online on the “Submissions” tab on the page. The winner will be announced at the 2017 Awards Ceremony which will be held on April 25th from 12:30pm-2pm in the D’Arcy Great Room in the Sancta Alberta Chapel.

Note: You must attend the award ceremony to receive a prize.
