American Association of Airport Executives

The Lewis University Student Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) is the largest Student Chapter in the country, and we continue to hold this title by having new members, who love or hold an interest in aviation.

The purpose of the Lewis University Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives is as follows:

• To encourage professionalism in the administration of airports through the acquisition of knowledge.
• To establish and develop interchange of information and experience in the development, maintenance, and operations of airports with the national organization and with other Student Chapters.
• To represent airports and the airport management profession and to cooperate with other on-campus organizations for the general benefit of aviation.
• To establish both Social and Business relationships with people in the field of airport management and its allied professions.
• To aid organizational members in furthering their careers and to prepare students to make effective contributions to the aviation industry through internships, seminars, airport tours, guest speakers, and other Chapter activities.

The Lewis University Student Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives is open to all persons, regardless of age, race, religion, gender, disabilities, or national origin. The Lewis University Student Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives recognizes the dignity of every individual and opposes all forms of hazing.

Anyone who is interested in the field of airport management or any branch of aviation is encouraged to join AAAE, regardless of college major(s)/minor(s), or existing career field. In AAAE, you will be offered the chance to participate in:

• Airport Tours
• Touring Air Traffic Control Facilities (TRACON, Airport Towers, Air Traffic Control Center’s)
• Guest Speakers and FAA Presentations and Seminars
• Lewis University AAAE Chapter Outings
