Our Mission
The purpose of SASA is to promote cultural unity and awareness at Lewis University community and among its members.

Increase awareness of
South Asian cultures and traditions - encourage cultural unity
by celebrating diversity

Increase awareness of social, political, and cultural issues
relevant to South Asians and South Asian Americans

Create an Environment in which the Lewis University students
and faculty members meet, learn and participate in South Asian cultural
events
- Provide a connection between the students of Lewis University and the wider community.
We strongly encourage everyone, regardless of ethnic background, to take an active role in the sharing and appreciation of South Asian Culture through music, dance, films, arts, literature, cuisine, language and festive celebrations.
