Diversity Enrichment Programs
The programs will
explore diversity in four key areas:
- Knowledge - What
do you actually know about differences and where did you learn your infomation.

Understanding-
Are you willing to consider how someone different than you might
be feeling.

Acceptance - How
patient and respectful are you of others?
- Behavior- How do
you behave towards others?
Diversity Dialogue Series - Monthly facilitated program
to provide an educational opportunity to the campus community on issues
related to
diversity and multiculturalism on a predominately white campus. The
program will help to create critical dialogue among the campus community
on various issues (race, ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, class,
disability, age and religion).
Multicultural Achievement Success
Program - A program designed to provide
on-going mentoring and academic support services to students who do not meet
the minimum university academic requirement. In cooperation with Pat Jones,
Success Coordinator.
Building Bridges Workshops –
A variety of programs, designed
for our students, staff, and faculty such as: "Diversity 101" - exploring
and/or expanding participants knowledge of the
concept of diversity. "Cultural Competency" - having the ability to
recognize and respond to our similarities and differences and make better decisions
based on that understanding.
