Multicultural Achievement Program
Multicultural Achievement Program
The Office of Multicultural Student Services is committed to assisting students in achieving a successful college education in a diverse and culturally enriched environment.
The Success Program is designed to provide on-going mentoring and academic support services to students who do not meet the minimum requirements. Standard university requirements are waived for those applicants accepted into the success program who have determination and motivation to learn and overcome all educational obstacles.
The Multicultural Achievement Program is
limited to new students accepted in the Success
Program, who are invited to complete the
application process and are selected for
participation in the program.

College Success Network |
Lewis University's Multicultural Achievement Program is funded by the Associated Colleges of Illinois through its College Success Network.
- The College Success Network serves to assist diverse, first-generation and low-income students through college.
- It provides resources and support to help students complete college successfully.
- This mission is fulfilled by partnering with member campuses and is offered to students throughout their college careers, making the College Success Network a four-year opportunity.

The Challenge |
Pursing Academic excellence through participation in an
intensive, individualized Support Program.
The goal of the SUCCESS Program/ Multicultural
Achievement Program is for all students to succeed and
ultimately graduate from Lewis University. This goal is
consistent with the overall mission of the
university to reach out to students who
need additional support in their
transition to college.
Five SUCCESS students will be chosen
to participate in the Multicultural
Achievement Program based on the
results of an assessment test given
during the Bridge Program.

- Training that will prepare you for leadership roles on campus
- A Peer Counselor and resources to help you excel academically and assume leadership roles.
- Academic Advising and Registration
- Tutoring
- Career Orientation
- Bi-weekly Contact with the SUCCESS Program Coordinator
- Ongoing Follow-up with Faculty
- Funding to attend state and national leadership conferences
- A $2,000 scholarship, renewable for 4 years
- Assistance in purchasing textbooks
- Individual assistance and the benefits of small group activities
