Interested in Becoming a Peer Minister?
As a Peer Minister, you will help foster the spiritual, emotional and social growth of resident students - meeting them where they are at and inviting them to take steps of faith, including:
  • Helping residents grow as persons and as a community
  • Providing regular social events, service opportunities and faith sharing groups each semester to nurture community within their respective residence hall
  • Providing personal assistance to those in academic, emotional and spiritual need
  • Having an active association with the faith community at Lewis - participating in the Sunday evening liturgy in Sancta Alberta
  • Committing to six weekly office hours in their respective hall
  • Staffing one Java Detour each semester
  • Staffing the Late Night Breakfast each semester
  • Attending and participating in training, bi-monthly peer meetings and regular supervision appointments with the program coordinators
In recognition of your service, Peer Ministers receive a 1-credit workshop credit and a significant stipend each semester.
