University Ministry

Mission Statement

University Ministry, in harmony with Lewis' Catholic tradition and Lasallian identity, embraces and nurtures enlightened religious experience within our community. University Ministry's primary focus is to be a sign and instrument of the Gospel. Therefore we proclaim and celebrate the Gospel and invite the University Community into this mission.

We seek to light our students' hearts on fire for God's Kingdom by valuing:

Faith - loving the generous God made known to us through Jesus and the Holy Spirit and in the giftedness and dignity of all human beings;
Service - becoming more generous and loving in our time, talents, and treasures;
Community - celebrating our joys and suffering our sorrows with each other.

We, therefore, seek to promote an environment:

where faith is explored and developed.
that educates and empowers members of the University community to use their gifts to serve the church and the common good.
that raises and addresses social justice issues.
that forms leaders by discovering, eliciting, and developing their gifts.
