Meet the Student Workers

Brittany Hansen

Major: Social Work

Hobbies: Watching movies, spending time with my family and friends, and planning my yearly Walt Disney World vacation

On Campus Involvement: Resident Assistant in Ryan Hall, Vice President of VOICES, Social Work Association

A little bit more about me: I’m from a small town, but I have big dreams. I plan to study for Masters in Social Work and become a Victim Advocate.

Megan Hernandez

Major: Sociology and Human Resource Management

Hobbies: I love to travel, try new things, and meet new people but I also enjoy spending time with family and friends and exercising my creative side.

On Campus Involvement: Lewis Navigator, SORC, Theta Kappa Pi, PSAC, and Koinania

A little bit more about me: I’ve worked in SORC for a year and a half, but I took a semester off to study in London, England.

Anthony Kurt

Major: Secondary Education and Mathematics

Hobbies: Playing video games, talking technology, watching movies, building things, and much more.

On Campus Involvement: I started the Flyer Photo Club my Freshman Year and have been a part of Art club, Pep Band, The Flyer Newspaper, and SORC office for much of my time in College.

A little bit more about me: I hope to be teaching math in a middle school by this time next year (Fall 2016)!

Alexandra Laniewski

Major: Environmental Science

Hobbies: Reading, hanging out with my family and friends, and playing any sports but mostly basketball.

On Campus Involvement: Commuter Council, SORC

A little bit more about me: I am an outgoing person, I have to be active I cannot just sit around doing nothing, and I would love to travel the world someday!

Valerie Peterson

Major: Undecided

Hobbies: I enjoy catching up on my favorite TV shows on xfinity, reading books for fun and hanging out with my friends.

On Campus Involvement: I am a leader for First Year Retreat (FYI) through ministry. I also play the baritone in the pep band.

A little bit more about me: I enjoy making people laugh and smile. I also enjoy that “fuzzy” feeling I get when I help someone. Also, I broke my nose a year ago so now when I sniff in my nose whistles.

Matthew Wall

Major: Computer Science

Year: Junior

Hobbies: I enjoy hanging out with my friends and make the best out of everything.

On Campus Involvement: Besides from working in the SORC office, I am also a Resident Assistant in Founders Hall

A little bit more about me: I am very easy to get along with. When I’m around new people, I am usually quiet but as soon as I get comfortable I am fun to be around. My friends look at me as the comedian in the group.
