Reference Sheet
Reference Sheet Tips
- Use
a list of 3 to 5 professional references.
- Make
sure you ask permission from a reference before putting his/her
name on your reference sheet.
- Give
the reference a copy of your resume.
- Always
include the reference’s title.
- Examples
of references include former employers, professors, a co-worker,
a coach or an advisor.
- Do
not send references with your resume. Take your reference
sheet to the interview.
- If
an employer asks if they can call your references, let your
references know that they may be called. Tell them the name
of the person calling and the job for which you applied. If
possible, give them a copy of the job description.
