Women & Minorities Aviation Spring Conference is April 5

Find out how to launch a career in aviation at the 2014 Women & Minorities Aviation Spring Conference from 10 a.m.-1p.m. Saturday, April 5 in the Lewis University Harold E. White Aviation Center located on the university’s main campus in Romeoville.

Informational sessions include various careers of interest, such as airport management, FAA administration, U.S. Marshall, U.S. Customs border patrol, aviation mechanic, tower air traffic control, radar air traffic control, aviation dispatch, commercial airline pilot, corporate pilot, logistics and transportation.

Lewis University, Federal Express, Southwest Airlines, and the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading are presenting the aviation conference.

Providing aviation career opportunities in flight management, administration, maintenance, security and air traffic control, Lewis University offers the oldest aviation program among universities in Illinois, and is the only university aviation program in Illinois with an airport on campus. Lewis is one of 35 institutions in the country certified by the FAA to offer the Air Traffic Collegiate Training Initiative Program.
